Review - Twist'n'roll Tweezers and Swirly Do hair ties

Some of you may remember I have had bad luck with waxing, so I generally stick to tweezing. I have heard about 'threading' before but it looked kind of complicated so I never bothered to try.

I found a product called 'Twist-n-Roll Tweezers' online and was delighted when they sent me a pair for review. I have to admit they looked a little intimidating but once you get the hang of it it is fast and easy.

The Tweeze-n-Roll and Swirly Dos

The picture above shows how to use it. First you hold a warm washcloth to your face to open up your pores, then you fold the Tweeze-n-roll like above, place it on your face and roll your thumbs inward. I'm not gonna lie, it does hurt but it is much quicker then tweezing one hair at a time, so in that sense it is less painful! It's over before you know it.

I also received a pack of 5 Swirly Dos. They are hair ties designed to prevent your hair from kinking when you have it in a ponytail. You know how when you put your hair in a ponytail with an elastic all day and then take it out and there's a big awkward wave in your hair? Well with these you don't need to worry about that! They are waterproof and stay put! They are great for exercising or when I go to Tae Kwon Doe, once I put my hair up it stays there until after TKD, then I can take it out and not have a big wave!

*I was sent products in exchange for an honest review, any opinions shown above are 100% my own*

  1. I've never heard of threading! I'll have to look into those. I can't quite imagine how to use these, but if it's exactly how you described them then it sounds easy.

I've always hated tweezing myself. I'm more of a wax person and my mom thinks I'm crazy when I talk about getting my eyebrows waxed. haha.

Are they only available on their website or can they be found in retailers?

    Thanks for sharing your review!

  3. Ooh, I really want the non-kinking elastics!!! Sometimes if it's not a hair washing day I put my hair in ta bun in the shower and when I let it down it has the most perfect waves... except the kink from the elastic :/ def want to try that!

  4. I think I need those tweezers! Sometimes I want to pluck her and there, but sometimes I want a whole section gone.

  6. My Grandmother always told me that I never would have to pluck my eyebrows. She was wrong, unfortunately, and I have been for years. I don't mind doing it, just to shape up a little. But the hair ties are awesome. I'm always creasing my hair for pony tails. :)
    Thanks for the review.
