Review - Vampire Costume

I was really excited to be offered the chance to review a Vamp Costume from http://www.wholesalehalloweencostumes.com. My little brother is fascinated by vampires (I think he just likes the fangs) and I love Halloween. I love dressing up for Halloween, I love trick-or-treating, I love the costumes, even if it is just to walk around while my brother trick-or-treats, or just passing out candy, I love it all!!

No sparkly Vampires here!!

I really like the fact that this Vampire costume is much more conservative then some of the other Halloween costumes for women that you buy in stores. Walking around in October in Canada you will freeze if you don't wear a costume that's a little more... Practical.

It's gorgeous, and so soft!

The costume ties up the front so it is adjustable which is definitely a plus... In case you have to loosen it after eating all that candy! It has a red lining and gives a nice contrast, especially with the sleeves and hood.

It drapes so nicely!

Is it Halloween yet? I don't want to take it off! My mother is trying to convince me to let HER wear it, she is a vampire diaries fan...

Review - NYC Quick Dry Nail Polish

I love a quick drying nail polish, I have lots of the Rimmel 60 Second polishes and I love them because they dry quickly and for most of the colors I only need one coat.

When I was at WalMart the other day I saw the NYC polishes were 2 for $3 and figured I would give them a try, for 1.50 I didn't have much to lose so I grabbed two colors.

the red color is 'Madison Avenue'
the purple color is 'Prince Street'

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these polishes. They apply very well, I did need two coats but since they dry so quickly I didn't mind. The brushes are 'flat' which makes the polish go on nice and even.

I will definitly be picking more of these up, it's hard to beat $1.50 for a nail polish AND have it be a good quality!

Review - Tresemme Dry Shampoo

I hear/read all the time that you shouldn't wash your hair everyday, but I just can't go without washing my hair everyday, it gets too oily and it just feels heavy and gross. I have wanted to try a dry shampoo for awhile now so when I saw the Tresemme Dry Shampoos were just $4 at Walmart I grabbed one to try out.

I got the Volumizing kind.

The only thing I liked about this product is that it did give my hair some volume but it did not make my hair look any cleaner. On the packaging it says 'oil & odour remover', I don't know if it 'removed' any 'odour' from my hair but it did NOT leave my hair looking any less oily and my hair still felt and looked dirty. It has a scent to it that is kind of strong while spraying and lasts for about 20-30mins in your hair.

I will keep looking for a dry shampoo that works, I will probably still use this occasionally for the volume. Have you found a dry shampoo that works?

Maybelline Baby Lips

I love 'lip stuff'. Lip balm, chap stick, etc. I am always looking for something new to try. I grabbed these the last time I was at Wal-Mart. I believe they were just under $4.

Peach Kiss, Peppermint

The package says SPF 20 and it claims to have 8-hour hydration. I can definitely agree with that. I applied it in the morning and a few hours later my lips still felt moisturised.

I bought the peppermint and peach kiss. Peach kiss is lightly tinted, and peppermint is just a clear gloss. I will be picking up the rest of the Baby Lips collection and I would suggest you do the same! 20 SPF for your lips is excellent in my book! My lips feel softer since I started using these regularly too.

Garnier Anti-Dark-Circle Roller

After my semi-success with the BB cream I decided to try out the Garnier Anti-Dark-Circle roller.

The product claims to reduce the look of dark circles and brighten the skin around your eyes. It rolls on kind of thick, then you CAREFULLY blend it in. (use your pinky or ring finger and use soft strokes going away from your nose) 

I gotta say, I really liked this roller! I could tell a difference almost immediately. I was a little worried the color would be dark on me because I have pale skin but it blends in nicely. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs a little help concealing their dark circles, I will use this again for sure!

Garnier BB Cream

I have heard a lot of people talking about BB creams lately. I decided to try it out, mostly because my sister told me it had 15 SPF in it... I should have read the package before buying it! It has no SPF in it.

The Garnier BB cream promises that it will renew, brighten, even, protect and hydrate your skin for 24hours.

At first glance, I was kind of surprised at how thick and heavy it was. I did like the coverage it gave but I don't think it is meant for someone with oily skin. I used it over my Mark set (review here) and by lunch my skin was oily.

I think the product does what it claims pretty well and if I didn't have oily skin I would be using it every day. The only real complaint is that it has no SPF, I would be tempted to use it regularly if it did.
