Bright, Bright, NEONS!

I have always been drawn to neon colors. In my opinion nothing is prettier then neon pink, orange, yellow... While I am not brave enough to rock a full-on neon outfit, I would love some more simple pieces to work into an outfit. Shirts, dresses or pants, or even some bold neon accessories to spice up an outfit.

*note to self, by more neons!!!

Those shoes and clutches? AMAZING.

Color blocking.

Color blocking has been a pretty big trend for awhile now and I thought I would go play on polyvore to see if I can make a few outfits revolving around color blocking.

What do you think? Did I do a good job or did I miss the mark? I love how bright everything is, doesn't it just scream warn weather?! I love this trend and I love bright colorful outfits, even if sometimes I am not brave enough to rock them. I'm picking up bright pieces lately and have been trying my hand at pulling off some bright, bold looks. It just makes me happy looking at them!

All the shoes and purses are from justfab. (50% off your first purchase, use this link)

How do you like to shop?

Almost every store has an online website where you can buy from, making shopping as easy as clicking a button. But what do you prefer, in store or online shopping?
Personally I prefer online shopping, mostly because the nearest decent mall is about a 40minute drive, and since I don't drive personally I have to rely on someone taking me shopping. I am the only one in my family who loves to shop so this leaves me with shopping online. But let's look at some of the pros and cons of each.
Online Pros:
  • No crowds! No crowds means no standing in line waiting! Or having someone breathing down your neck while you are browsing through shirts they are waiting to look at.
  • Sit in the comfort of your own home while shopping. You can get into your fav pjs with a blanket and a cup of coffee (or wine) and away you go!
  • Ebates! Earn Cash back for shopping online, how cool is that?
  • A lot of stores that are exclusively online or stores that have huge inventories online have large clearance sections, or better yet sales, and frequently! Online Cons:
  • You can't really try things on, unless you know what your size is and the clothes/shoes you are buying are true to size you take a risk in having to return them. Which is fine if the site has a free return policy but if they don't have a good return policy, you might have a hard time returning things.
  • Customer service. If the website has bad customer service, you might run into some problems. I have heard horror storis of people trying to return things that were defective or they received by accident.
  • Colors are different depending on lighting/computer screens. What I mean by that is you might see something white online and and in reality it's grey.

    Instore Pros:
  • You can try things on, of course. As I said above, since you can try it on, you can ensure that it not only fits but that you like it looks good on your body.
  • What you see is what you get. If something has a snag/scuff/imperfection, you wouldn't buy it.
  • Different selection of items then available online. Some stores have 'in store exclusive items'.
  • Sales and Clearance racks might be different that what is online.
  • Some stores don't have online stores. (H&M for example.) Instore Cons:
  • Crowds. This is a biggie for me, as stated above. I hate crowded areas, not to mention rude people. Why do people have to stand right in the middle of a crowded mall and have a chat?!
  • Rude employees. Ever have someone just follow you around, making sure you aren't stealing? Or scoffing at you, thinking you won't actually be buying anything? I understand they are trying to protect themselves but it is annoying.
  • Travel time. Might not be a big deal for some.
  • Sometimes I have a hard time finding things in my size. I find that usually the small sizes are what's left on in store racks.

And there you have it! My pros/cons lists for both instore and online shopping. But what is your favaorite method of shopping? And where are your fav places to shop, both instore and online? Here's a list of a few stores I love to shop at online:
  • Shoedazzle Offers a great selections of shoes, purses, jewellery and soon CLOTHES! I'm really excited about the clothes!
  • JustFab Another site with a great selection of shoes, purses and jewellery and right now they do have clothes in the Abbey Dawn collection.
  • OldNavy, Forever21, Gap, all have great online selctions.
  • DON'T FORGET to sign up with Ebates! and earch cash back when shopping online!!!

What are your April 1st picks?

Let's start with Shoedazzle. Now, I've been having a sort of love/hate relationship with Shoedazzle for awhile now. The lack of mid-heels, the return costs for Canadians or Alaska/Hawaii (I totally understand that is not Shoedazzle's fault and I am used to it by now with all my online shopping) but most importantly the ridiculous customs charges I've been getting this year. (Again, not Shoedazzle's fault, but when you are being charged $15-$20 every second shoe, it sucks!).

Let's move on to what's really important... April's showroom/new shoes! I'll start with what was actually in my showroom... The only 'new' shoe was Lattice, not my style. Okay, that's fine... I know that happens sometimes. Let's dig a little further. Checking out my 'see more shoes' option, Tillie is back in white, black, brown multi and orange multi, really cute and I did want her when she had her debut last year. There are several new wedges, RosemarieAislinMalisaArebella and Wilder. There are some pretty awesome patterns, the only one I'm putting on my wishlist is the White Wilder.

Something that was announced late last month and I am sure more then a few girls were excited about... The Classic Heights collection! This is something a lot of ladies have been asking for. I clicked over to that tab, hoping to see a couple new options... Nope. Okay, maybe I should cut them some slack... Malika and Patti were late March releases... But they are both well over 4inches and last time I checked that wasn't a mid-heel. The other shoes in the collection are not 'new' maybe new to some but I've seen them all before, like Kyna who has a different name but is a re-release... And she's 5inches! Mid-heel!?

Well, as you can see with my little rant I am not very excited with SD this month, but I do have a couple that I liked. How funky is Bouncy?! And a t-strap Ciji named Chelle? I need her in red!

Alright alright, I'm done picking on SD... Let's move on to JustFab... My new love?

As you probably know the elite showrooms were out yesterday, so I was able to pick out what I wanted yesterday and I'm glad I did because I didn't really like anything in my showroom... But of the things I did find, I liked: Ursala, Juanita, and Donielle for shoes and for my first 'shoe club' jewelry purchase I will be getting 'Rings of Fire' since all jewelry is $25 with a purchase!

I can't really comment on what's 'new' and what's not because it still all looks new to me since I've only been a member for less then a month.

I really like the fact that JustFab ships everything all at once, and in one box. That saves a lot on shipping charges!! Also I'm hoping to get hit by customs less because it's coming into Canada at a different spot then it does with Shoedazzle. Plus... The fact that flats and now jewelry is just $25 with a purchase is AWESOME! I could never justify buying a jewelry set for $50, or a pair of flats. (except if they are spiky...)

If you aren't a member of Shoedazzle yet, here's a link that will get you 20% off your first purchase. Shipping and returns are FREE if you are in the U.S.! And ALL items are just 39.95!

If you aren't a member of JustFab, here's a link that will get you 50% off! they also have a BOGO section for new members and ALL item's are 39.95!

I know this isn't exactly like the "Amanda" clutch,
but the print reminded me of her,

    Spring Loves

These have been my Spring Loves for this past season:

I have been really in love with the Nautical inspired items this Spring. I have been drawn to reds/navy blues/whites and have been putting together outfits with those colors. For example I found a simple navy blue tank dress and paired it with a white cardigan, red belt and a red purse.

A go to piece for me was definitely a plain white long sleeved shirt that I wore under a green Military jacket, a good pair of skinny jeans and a boot. (Matilda or Millie from Shoedazzle are my favs, I can never have enough boots)

Another love of mine is chunky sweaters. They are so comfy and easy. So great for spring when the weather doesn't know if it wants to be cold or warm!

The floral trend is something I loved to wear too. From my shoes to my shirts to dresses to accessories. I love me some floral print! An outfit that I would wear a lot this spring was a long sleeved floral shirt, a chunky button down cardigan, skinny jeans and boots. (Have I mentioned I love boots?) Or a plain v-neck tee and floral flats. Sorry I don't have an example for this one!

Sorry the pics aren't the greatest, I have no one who was available to take pictures for me... I really need to train my little brother to be my photographer...
