Shoe cushions make your feet feel heavenly!

I think I have been pretty clear about my love for shoes. I can't even count the number of posts I have done in the last year that revolve solely (pun intended!!) around shoes! Every month I browse through the new selections of shoes on line and treat myself to a couple pairs. But what happens when I get a pair that is a little too big, or too uncomfortable? I really hate having to send back a gorgeous pair of shoes. (especially when I need to pay for return shipping!)

need an insert?

I have tried several different brands of shoe cushions to help ease the pain in a pair of heels that are just a bit too high. You can even get a snugger fit if you happen to have bought a size that's a bit too big. Most of the time I need a ball of the foot cushion and it will make a shoe ten times for comfy!

You can get shoe cushions in a bunch of different styles to help you customize the fit of your shoe. There are full shoe inserts, arch inserts, ball of foot inserts, heel inserts, and much more. With the proper inserts you can make your cutest pair of heels comfy, and prevent blisters too!

Monthly Showrooms

Well, yesterday was the first of the month and you know what that means. New showrooms! I'll start with Shoedazzle... I am VERY impressed with the fact that some of their flats are now $29.95! I stated before I had a hard time paying the $40 for a flat so this is awesome. They have such great and colorful flats out right now. Some clutches are available for $30 too! Another thing... There were TWO mid-heels in my showroom this month!!

I am very impressed with my showroom! The $30 flats really help though, I wouldn't normally be excited by them. Gina in pink might just find her way home to me. I also love Annie in green and Sophia in... all colors. If Leigh was available in a cognac color I would probably snatch her up too! By the way, Gina is 2.5" and Sophie is 3.25"! I am loving pointy toe heels lately!!

Now on to JustFab! If JustFab had the same color palette as Shoedazzle I would probably just stick with JustFab but their colors seem a lot more boring in comparison right now, I hope they add more colors soon!

I'm not really feeling anything in my showroom, except maybe Avoca and Charity. After looking through a couple friend's showrooms, I'm really liking the Ida flat and the Fabiola boot! My JustFab showroom has way too much grey for my liking. If they could add just a drop more color I would be so happy!

You can click here to create a JustFab account and get 50% off your first purchase! All clutches, jewellery and flats are just $25 with a full price purchase! JustFab has a Dereon collection out right now too from Beyonce!

You can also click here to create a Shoedazzle account and get 20% off you first purchase! Shoedazzle has some awesome things out this month with LOTS of color, and they are starting to release some awesome boots for the fall too!

July Showrooms

Yeah... I am 3 days late for the July Showrooms. There was no waiting up or waking up early on the 1st to see what was in my showroom. In fact I didn't even realize the showrooms were released until 2:30PM on the 1st. It's a mixture of the fact that I am still on my 'Shopping Diet' and the fact that it was Canada Day so we were in the Village celebrating.

Anyways... On to the showrooms! Let's do Shoedazzle first. Do I need to say I am not very optimistic about my showroom? I think you know the drill, no mid-heels, no thanks!

Danger is cute, but it's not a new release. I am not really smitten with anything in my showroom. I will say this though... If the BOGO sale is still going on by the middle of the month I will be buying a couple things. I've had my eye on Pink Trevose and Aventura.

As for JustFab...

Not really liking anything here either... The colors seem dull, with the exception of the Pink Tyra which is sold out in my size anyway. There are a couple bags I like and I have had my eye on Payson since they came out. If the BOGO sale is still on for JustFab I will be buying some stuff here too. Probably more then at Shoedazzle.

Only 9 days until my Shopping Diet is OVER!!

If you don't have a JustFab account you can click here and get 50% off your first order, plus they have a BOGO sale going on right now!

If you don't have a Shoedazzle account you can click here for 20% off your first order and they have a BOGO sale right now too!!

Review - Konvine shoes

Any heel loving lady has to appreciate the mission of Kovine. Fold up flats that fit in your purse, for those times when you just HAVE to change those painful 5" heels! I know I've been there, in the mall shopping for way too long with shoes I really should have thought twice about wearing! Now instead of grabbing the nearest pair of flipflops to buy, I'll have these in my purse just in case!

G.I. Jane Roll-Ups with Skull

Give your feet a break and still look fashionable! They have a lot of cute styles to choose from, I'm sure you will find something you will love! They are comfy and easy to throw on, I've worn them a couple of times when running to pick up my little brother from school too! The kids love them.

The come rolled up in a cute little box and also come with a dustbag.

This is something I would definitely suggest to all my heel loving friends, or the ones who love cute flats!! For the month of June Kovine is offering free shipping!

*I received a pair of roll-up flats in exchange for an honest review. The above opinions are 100% my own.*

Shoedazzle - Julia in Yellow and Turquoise

My two Julias came last week and with them a charge of $21 EACH for customs. Wherever they are entering Canada from... They sure have it out for me!! This will be my last purchase from SD for awhile unfortunately, because of my shopping diet but also because I just can't justify it any more with extra charges like this.

I am completely in love with them though, the colors are BEAUTIFUL and the height is perfect in my opinion. The pink sole is the perfect touch. Both colors are almost exactly what is shown online, but I find the yellow to be almost neon.

I also got a sample of Tresemme Split Remedy, which I really appreciated!!

If you haven't signed up for Shoedazzle, you can do so right here and get 20% off your first order! And the link to Julia is right here!

Wishlist Wednesday - my Shopping Diet.

I have decided to take a shopping diet, until my birthday which is July 29th. With the exception of the opening of Sephora**, I have decided I will not buy anything I don't need until my birthday comes around.

I have decided that every Wednesday from now on will be 'Wishlist Wednesday'. On Wednesday I will post TWO 'Wishlist' items, one will be something I will be able to buy when my Shopping diet is over and the other will be something I would buy if I won the lottery ;)

So here goes, for my first wishlist Wednesday:

Forever21 Pink Heels - Balenciaga Bag

And there you have it, my first Wishlist Wednesday ;) I will try to come up with a better looking way to show my two picks then what you see above ;)

**Sephora opens on June 22nd in the mall near me and there is NO WAY I am missing out on that! This is my only 'shopping' exception. Also, I will not be cancelling my regular Julep and GlossyBox subscriptions. I won't be buying any shoes or clothes or make up for myself until my birthday!!

JustFab - Magda and Ballet

I received my 5th JustFab order yesterday, Magda and pink Ballet.

Ballet and Magda

As soon as I saw Magda I had to get her. She reminded me of Amanda in red, that I had missed from SD, though Amanda had a pointed toe and had a shorter heel. I really like the heel height on Magda, 4" with a 1" platform, I feel like that is the perfect heel height for me. As for the color, the red is so pretty, it really pops and the bow is so Cute, I saw it and I HAD to buy her! I went up .5 and she fits perfectly, I always go up .5 in pumps because I have long toes.

Of course I had to add a clutch, at $25 how could I refuse? I had a few clutches in my wishlist but settled on Ballet because 1. She is pink and 2. The big bow!!

Obviously I won't be wearing these two together, but they are both a great way to add a great pop of color!

If you don't have an account yet, what are you waiting for? 50% off your first purchase, a BOGO section for new members and $25 to add any flat, clutch or jewellery set. Click here to sign up!

What are your picks for May 1st?

Finally, the first has come around again to fill our showrooms with new shoes!! I'm going to start with my Shoedazzle picks because I'm not really all that excited about SD this month.

I'm disappointed. The mid-heel boutique they introduced last month looked so promising! It was the first thing I was going to checkout this morning, but it's gone. I have looked through A LOT of showrooms, and I have found 0 mid-heels. I couldn't even find any new flats. I'm not going to spend a lot of time complaining about this. I understand that there are some ladies who wear and rock the 6" heels, for me personally I have enough of shy-high heels and want some fun mid-heels... It can be done! Fortunately I don't have to worry about skipping the month any more! Here's what my Shoedazzle showroom looks like:

Now, on to JustFab. First, here's what my showroom looks like:

Out of my showroom I like Garciella, Wilma and Aretha. But of course, I didn't stop there! Digging through other showrooms I found Phyllis, Tyra and Gianna.

Gianna, Tyra, the flat is Phyllis

I like more of the JustFab options this month. I will definitely be placing a couple orders and I can't wait to see what else this month holds! You can click here to join JustFab and your first purchase is 50% off.

Shoedazzle... Oh Shoedazzle. How I loved you for two long years, and you made my shoe collection what it is today! Please step up your mid-heel game! If you want to join Shoedazzle you can click here and get your first purchase for 20% off.

What are you loving this month? Did you find anything awesome I might have missed?

Bright, Bright, NEONS!

I have always been drawn to neon colors. In my opinion nothing is prettier then neon pink, orange, yellow... While I am not brave enough to rock a full-on neon outfit, I would love some more simple pieces to work into an outfit. Shirts, dresses or pants, or even some bold neon accessories to spice up an outfit.

*note to self, by more neons!!!

Those shoes and clutches? AMAZING.

Designer Spikey Shoes

I have mentioned a couple times before... I love spiked shoes. When Shoedazzle introduced Lita I bought her in black right away, she was my first flat from a "shoe club". Then I bought Lita in brown... Since then I've bought every spiked flat shoedazzle had to offer, and Octavia.

A few of my Shoedazzle flats.

I honestly didn't think I would ever buy a flat for $50, but I have bought 6 from Shoedazzle because they were spiked. JustFab is a little more reasonable with their flats now being $25 with a purchase, but they only offer one spiked flat at this time. But what if money was no problem... ;)

Now... I give you... My holy grail of spiked shoes, from the one and only Christian Louboutin:

JustFab - Ursala and Virtusos

My lovely boyfriend "surprised" me with Ursala in turquoise and Virtuoso in blue, both were on my wishlist and I promise I didn't encourage him... Too much ;)

I really need a new camera... I tried several and finally decided the pics on my iphone were the best. None captured the real color, and it's raining outside so using sunlight was out of the question!

Ursala is gorgeous. The blue is deeper then turquoise, in my opinion and the green is deeper then mint, which is what I thought it was. I love the silver toe too. I was worried about the height because I don't like to go above a 4" heel for a few different reasons but these are about 5.5" with a 1" platform, they are pretty comfy, and they fit great! I went up .5 like I usually do in pumps, because I have longer toes.

Virtuoso is almost the perfect match for Ursala. The shoes are a bit darker then the purse but they work well together. I love large clutches!

The only thing that kind of bugs me is when pairing these two the toe on Ursala is silver and the studs on Virtuoso are gold, but I'm willing to overlook that ;)

I LOVE that JustFab's clutches, jewellery and flats are only $25! My clutch collection will be growing steadily ;) You can click here and make an account if you haven't already, your first purchase is 50% off PLUS there's a BOGO section for new members!

Color blocking.

Color blocking has been a pretty big trend for awhile now and I thought I would go play on polyvore to see if I can make a few outfits revolving around color blocking.

What do you think? Did I do a good job or did I miss the mark? I love how bright everything is, doesn't it just scream warn weather?! I love this trend and I love bright colorful outfits, even if sometimes I am not brave enough to rock them. I'm picking up bright pieces lately and have been trying my hand at pulling off some bright, bold looks. It just makes me happy looking at them!

All the shoes and purses are from justfab. (50% off your first purchase, use this link)

JustFab Lavender Juanita and Silver Rings of Fire

Juanita in Lavender and Rings of Fire were my first of the month picks for JustFab.

I have been saying I needed more color in my 'shoe wardrobe' and Juanita is the prettiest shade of purple. The site describes her as 'Lavender' but she is much deeper then that. I tried multiple cameras but couldn't catch her true color. I did go up .5 and I am so happy I did. I have long toes and need to go up .5 in closed toe pumps.

I have a thing for 'animal' rings and when I saw the Rings of Fire I was in love. This is my first ever 'Shoe Club' jewellery purchase and I only really bought it because you can add any piece of jewellery to your order for $25. I don't wear much jewellery and I think $40 is a little expensive for some of the pieces. I'm really happy with these rings though.

Quick Outfit of the day

Hello! I thought I would post a quick outfit of the day featuring Bouncy from shoedazzle and Literary from JustFab. The sweater, white top and jeans are all from Forever21.

Bouncy was my pick for the first of the month, she has a cut out in her that makes her look so funky! I was so excited when I saw her. I would suggest going half a size up, she runs small and luckily someone had posted this before I ordered her. She is pretty comfy too!

White Literary was one of the first things I bought from JustFab. She does come with a strap but I prefer to use her as an oversized clutch, I have bee using her a lot lately too, I love her!

How do you like to shop?

Almost every store has an online website where you can buy from, making shopping as easy as clicking a button. But what do you prefer, in store or online shopping?
Personally I prefer online shopping, mostly because the nearest decent mall is about a 40minute drive, and since I don't drive personally I have to rely on someone taking me shopping. I am the only one in my family who loves to shop so this leaves me with shopping online. But let's look at some of the pros and cons of each.
Online Pros:
  • No crowds! No crowds means no standing in line waiting! Or having someone breathing down your neck while you are browsing through shirts they are waiting to look at.
  • Sit in the comfort of your own home while shopping. You can get into your fav pjs with a blanket and a cup of coffee (or wine) and away you go!
  • Ebates! Earn Cash back for shopping online, how cool is that?
  • A lot of stores that are exclusively online or stores that have huge inventories online have large clearance sections, or better yet sales, and frequently! Online Cons:
  • You can't really try things on, unless you know what your size is and the clothes/shoes you are buying are true to size you take a risk in having to return them. Which is fine if the site has a free return policy but if they don't have a good return policy, you might have a hard time returning things.
  • Customer service. If the website has bad customer service, you might run into some problems. I have heard horror storis of people trying to return things that were defective or they received by accident.
  • Colors are different depending on lighting/computer screens. What I mean by that is you might see something white online and and in reality it's grey.

    Instore Pros:
  • You can try things on, of course. As I said above, since you can try it on, you can ensure that it not only fits but that you like it looks good on your body.
  • What you see is what you get. If something has a snag/scuff/imperfection, you wouldn't buy it.
  • Different selection of items then available online. Some stores have 'in store exclusive items'.
  • Sales and Clearance racks might be different that what is online.
  • Some stores don't have online stores. (H&M for example.) Instore Cons:
  • Crowds. This is a biggie for me, as stated above. I hate crowded areas, not to mention rude people. Why do people have to stand right in the middle of a crowded mall and have a chat?!
  • Rude employees. Ever have someone just follow you around, making sure you aren't stealing? Or scoffing at you, thinking you won't actually be buying anything? I understand they are trying to protect themselves but it is annoying.
  • Travel time. Might not be a big deal for some.
  • Sometimes I have a hard time finding things in my size. I find that usually the small sizes are what's left on in store racks.

And there you have it! My pros/cons lists for both instore and online shopping. But what is your favaorite method of shopping? And where are your fav places to shop, both instore and online? Here's a list of a few stores I love to shop at online:
  • Shoedazzle Offers a great selections of shoes, purses, jewellery and soon CLOTHES! I'm really excited about the clothes!
  • JustFab Another site with a great selection of shoes, purses and jewellery and right now they do have clothes in the Abbey Dawn collection.
  • OldNavy, Forever21, Gap, all have great online selctions.
  • DON'T FORGET to sign up with Ebates! and earch cash back when shopping online!!!

JustFab pink WTH and Leopard Hayden

My second JustFab order arrived and I am IN LOVE. I have become a huuuge JustFab fan in just 2 orders. I can't wait for my next order to get here!

I was kind of iffy about the WTH's because I usually wear an 8.5 in pumps but went up to a 9. They will be perfect with some inserts! They are so comfy and the color is just as vivid in person as it is on the website. These are some seriously sassy shoes. This is my second Abbey Dawn purchase and I have a few others I'm watching...

I almost didn't get the Hayden's because I have some leopard print flats already but the tied back made me buy them, I loved the detail. This is my second pair of JustFab flats (first was Ain't no Pop Music) and they aren't stiff at all. You know how some shoes are stiff when you first get them and you need to wear them in? Not these babies! Love them!! If I see red Hayden back in stock in my size, I'll be snatching them up!!

You can get a JustFab account here!

What are your April 1st picks?

Let's start with Shoedazzle. Now, I've been having a sort of love/hate relationship with Shoedazzle for awhile now. The lack of mid-heels, the return costs for Canadians or Alaska/Hawaii (I totally understand that is not Shoedazzle's fault and I am used to it by now with all my online shopping) but most importantly the ridiculous customs charges I've been getting this year. (Again, not Shoedazzle's fault, but when you are being charged $15-$20 every second shoe, it sucks!).

Let's move on to what's really important... April's showroom/new shoes! I'll start with what was actually in my showroom... The only 'new' shoe was Lattice, not my style. Okay, that's fine... I know that happens sometimes. Let's dig a little further. Checking out my 'see more shoes' option, Tillie is back in white, black, brown multi and orange multi, really cute and I did want her when she had her debut last year. There are several new wedges, RosemarieAislinMalisaArebella and Wilder. There are some pretty awesome patterns, the only one I'm putting on my wishlist is the White Wilder.

Something that was announced late last month and I am sure more then a few girls were excited about... The Classic Heights collection! This is something a lot of ladies have been asking for. I clicked over to that tab, hoping to see a couple new options... Nope. Okay, maybe I should cut them some slack... Malika and Patti were late March releases... But they are both well over 4inches and last time I checked that wasn't a mid-heel. The other shoes in the collection are not 'new' maybe new to some but I've seen them all before, like Kyna who has a different name but is a re-release... And she's 5inches! Mid-heel!?

Well, as you can see with my little rant I am not very excited with SD this month, but I do have a couple that I liked. How funky is Bouncy?! And a t-strap Ciji named Chelle? I need her in red!

Alright alright, I'm done picking on SD... Let's move on to JustFab... My new love?

As you probably know the elite showrooms were out yesterday, so I was able to pick out what I wanted yesterday and I'm glad I did because I didn't really like anything in my showroom... But of the things I did find, I liked: Ursala, Juanita, and Donielle for shoes and for my first 'shoe club' jewelry purchase I will be getting 'Rings of Fire' since all jewelry is $25 with a purchase!

I can't really comment on what's 'new' and what's not because it still all looks new to me since I've only been a member for less then a month.

I really like the fact that JustFab ships everything all at once, and in one box. That saves a lot on shipping charges!! Also I'm hoping to get hit by customs less because it's coming into Canada at a different spot then it does with Shoedazzle. Plus... The fact that flats and now jewelry is just $25 with a purchase is AWESOME! I could never justify buying a jewelry set for $50, or a pair of flats. (except if they are spiky...)

If you aren't a member of Shoedazzle yet, here's a link that will get you 20% off your first purchase. Shipping and returns are FREE if you are in the U.S.! And ALL items are just 39.95!

If you aren't a member of JustFab, here's a link that will get you 50% off! they also have a BOGO section for new members and ALL item's are 39.95!

    OOTD, Purse review

I thought I would post an outfit of the day and while doing so do a little review of the purse I blogged about here.

    Blazer: OldNavy
    Dress: Forever21
    Shoes: Octavia from Shoedazzle
    Bag: Ebay

Now, onto the purse! I was really excited when I found this purse on ebay for just $25 dollars. I was even more excited after Iredell came out! They look almost identical and I paid half of what I would had I bought it from Shoedazzle!

I was a little worried about the quality of the bag but I have to say I am very pleased. They color is just as vibrant in real life as it is on the ebay listing and the bag is very sturdy and well made. I'm sure it will last quite a while!

I tried to show how roomy the bag is, I have my wallet, cell phone
a decent sized makeup bag (the julep bag here) and a
soft cover book, and it's a good sized book! (Shine by Lauren Myracle)

The only thing I can complain about is the way you open the bag.
As you can see you have to undo the lock, take out the straps, etc.
I thought it opened from the top, so I will be leaving it open!

I will definitely be purchasing this bag in other colors. White for sure, and maybe orange or red... or pink!

I love Wedges! & MORE giveaways!!

In the last year I've become pretty obsessed with wedges. I use to think they were kind of ugly honestly! But that was before I saw what the shoe clubs had to offer... The first wedge I bought from Shoedazzle was Mina in tan, and was actually my second purchase from Shoedazzle. The first wedge I bought from JustFab was Meris, and she was my first order. So here are a few of my FAV wedges, in no particular order ;)
    Penelope
    Wasn't even sure about her,
    she sold out quick and
I just happened to snag her
    a couple weeks later.
    LOVE her!!

    Yellow Gwen
Not sure what made me order her,
at first glance I didn't really
like her but I'm glad I got her!

    Yellow Meris
    GORGEOUS! I need the
    blue and pink now!
    Tan Mina
She took a bit of stalking, I was sent the
cognac instead of Tan, but finally
    got the right color!

    Orange Mulberry
    Bought the tan last summer
I was so excited when they
    were re-released, I grabbed
    the orange!
    Salmon Octavia
    What can I say?
    I love spikes!!!!

And there you have it! A handful of my favorite wedges! What is YOUR favorite wedge?

P.S. I've decided to do some random facebook giveaways on my page, so make sure you have it 'liked' and watch on the weekends for updates. I'll leave the giveaways open for 3-5hours so people get a chance to see them, they will be simple things like share the status, share the page, comment, etc.

Meris and Marguerite are from JustFab and Octavia, Mulberry, Mina, Penelope and Gwen are from Shoedazzle.
